Mistaken transfer – what should I do if I sent money to the wrong recipient?

If you’ve accidentally sent money to the wrong person, follow these steps to try to get the funds back.

Step 1: Consider whether you know the recipient

  • If you know the person or have transferred to them before, please contact them directly.
  • As a rule, banks do not intervene in transfers between parties who know each other.

Step 2: Identify how the money was sent

  • MobilePay – Contact MobilePay support directly, as they handle these transfers.

Step 3: If you don’t recognize the transfer or suspect fraud

  • Contact our support right away.
  • We’ll review the case with you and take the necessary steps.
