Privacy Policy Background

Privacy and GDPR

As a NoveNorth customer, you probably manage much of your day online and handle your finances digitally. You’ve also likely sighed at the many cookie banners you have to click through before continuing. But why do they exist—and what is all this about personal data, privacy protection, and GDPR?

What is GDPR?

GDPR is a common European set of rules that took effect in May 2018. The purpose is to protect you as an individual and give you back control over your own information. The rules mean, among other things, that companies processing your data must be able to explain:

  • Which information they use
  • Why they use it
  • How it is used
  • How long it is stored

In short: there are strict accountability requirements for anyone handling personal data.

What does it mean at NoveNorth?

For us, it means we must always have full oversight of which information we use and who has access to it—both internally and at any partners.

Why do we collect information about you?

To provide a good, secure, and user-friendly experience, we continuously collect certain information, for example:

  • Your transactions
  • How you use our platforms and services
  • Communication between you and us
  • Participation in offers or partnerships we make available

We do this in order to:

  • Deliver the best possible service to you as a customer
  • Develop and improve our solutions
  • Offer relevant products and partnerships
  • Comply with the strict legal requirements that apply to fintech and financial companies

In short

GDPR is about your data being yours—and that we as a company may only use it for clear purposes and with full transparency.

Want to know more? You can always read our Privacy Policy, where we explain in detail which information we process and what rights you have as a data subject.
